KELLOGG'S FROSTED FLAKES
FRISBEE FLYER

Kransco owned Wham-O from 1982 to 1994. Kransco disbanded the IFA, and Mini production dropped. Kransco made several special Mini molds with company logos embossed on the tops. Kellogg's Frosted Flakes was one of those companies. Kransco made the Minis with "Tony the Tiger's Frisbee Flyers" embossed on top. Kellogg's distributed them in specially  marked boxes of Frosted Flakes in 2 versions. The first appeared in 1988 in 4 colors, teal, purple, orange and yellow.

I have more than two dozen of the first run, and none is in a wrapper. It says on the box top, "Insert may occasionally be found between the carton and liner."  This makes me believe that the first run was never wrapped and at some point, perhaps due to packaging laws, were inserted outside the wrapper to avoid contact with the cereal.

In 1989, Kellogg's released the second run in the same mold (as 1988), but this time in 4 neon colors, pink, yellow, orange and green. They came in 2 different wrappers, one clear and the other with one clear plastic side and one white paper side in a round shape. Most had a coupon for Nut 'N Honey cereal introduced in 1987.
