CHUCK E CHEESE'S

Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre was founded in 1977 with the goal of bringing video games to the mainstream. Pizza Time Theatre was acquired in 1984 and merged with Showbiz Pizza Time, Inc. In 1990, the two brands were combined and renamed Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza, eventually dropping the word, pizza.

The first two sets of Minis are dated 1983 (Pizza Time Theater) and 1991 (Showbiz Pizza Time). They are both Asian molds (some say Hong Kong, others China) 3.5" diameter, hard plastic, flight rings on the outer top edge, and black hot stamp of Chuck E. Cheese.

The Minis with labels are the same size as the 1983 and 1991 versions, but the mold has an additional flight ring. They are made in China. The label on the purple Mini is the same design, but smaller than the others. The Chuck E. Cheese character is the one used from 1977 to 1994.

The Skimmer Rings are the smallest known at 2.5" diameter. They have "Chuck E. Cheese" embossed on top.

Chuck E. Cheese’s Billy Bob became an animatronic character in July, 1980. By 1992, Billy Bob's animatronic had been completely removed from the stage. Red is the only known color. The disc is the same as the Chuck E. Cheese label Minis.
